I applaud your efforts to create a UFO legend archive at Sheffield University. I’m sure you are aware that there is a wealth of UFO related material on archive.org.
Is there any update on the digitising project? TUFOS and Orbit were run by my grandfather so I’d love to read more of the publications, I only have a couple of issues of Orbit myself.
Hello Chris I am happy to report that the digitisation of the TUFOS archive is almost complete. The entire collection was shipped to AFU in Sweden last year and they have scanned all of the paper materials and the visuals - with just some of the audio (which was in a bad state) waiting for completion. The next stage is to work out some method whereby the 'highlights' from the collection can be made available to the public, via the Newcastle City Library website. That may take some time but if you can drop me a line on email I would be pleased to keep you updated. I would also like to know more about your grandfather's involvement in the society if you are happy to share...it would be wonderful to have something about the founders included in the project outcomes. best regards Dave Clarke
